Some of the stories shared by the students were:
22-year-old Pramod, a resident of Kasbapeth, lives with his parents and sister. His mother works as a nurse in a hospital while his father stays at home due to bad health. When he learned about the Lighthouse, he enrolled in a Foundation Course. This course helped him feel more confident. After the Foundation Course, he completed the Nursing Assistant Course and is currently interning at Samarth hospital.
Twenty-one years old Nikita lives with her parents and siblings in Mangalwar Peth. Her mother works as a security guard, her brother owns a food stand, her father works in a garage, and her sister has completed her Bachelors in Commerce and is preparing for competitive tests. When enrolled in the Foundation Course, she was insecure and never interacted with people. She was still determining her interests and what job would be most comfortable after graduation. Her professional ambitions were unclear, but she was always calm and patient. Slowly, she participated in daily activities, which helped her to be confident and focused. After completing her foundation course, she completed the Tally course through Lighthouse and is currently employed in Infosys.
