Lavanya Kailash Bhosle, an 18-year-old second-year B. Com (Bachelor of Commerce) student from Wanowrie, had a dream. A dream of a brighter future, a dream of financial independence. Raised by a single mother, she strived for financial independence. Lavanya knew she had to do more.
She encountered Lighthouse during an orientation session at St. Vincent College. The Foundation course ignited her passion, and she eagerly embraced the opportunities it offered. The mock interviews, in particular, boosted her confidence, preparing her for the real world.
Upon completing her Foundation course in June 2024, Lavanya’s determination only grew stronger. She immediately enrolled in a Logistics course to further enhance her skillset.
Her hard work and dedication paid off when she secured a job as a Customer Service Executive at Concentrix. With a monthly salary of ₹21,830, Lavanya’s dream of financial independence was becoming a reality. She started her new role on August 20, 2024, bringing immense joy to herself and her family.

Till date, at Bhawanipeth Lighthouse, through HSBC’s support, we have trained 725 youth in various vocational skill trades and have placed 525 youth into employment.
