The Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU), in partnership with Michael & Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF) and Lighthouse Communities Foundation (LCF), has kicked off the fourth centre at Khichripur, Patparganj, Delhi. Atishi Marlena, MLA from Delhi, DUSIB, DSEU, and Lighthouse Communities Foundation, came together for the Bhoomi Poojan for a Lighthouse in Patparganj, Delhi, on the 18th of October.
This Lighthouse will be built on 3000 sq ft., which will have three training rooms, a counselling room, one self-learning space, and a fully equipped tech hub with high-speed Wi-fi connection and Laptops for low-income youth from the nearby communities. The Lighthouse will be operational in 6 months for the community. Yearly, we expect to reach around 600 youth aged 18-30 from low-income communities around the vicinity.
On the occasion, Ruchi Mathur, Director & CEO, Lighthouse Communities, said, “youth will be offered a variety of vocational skill courses. More importantly, they will be equipped with life skills and workplace competencies for long-term success in their chosen careers.”
