Entrepreneurship isn’t just about starting a business—it’s about reclaiming dreams and creating change.

At 32, Pooja from Yerwada moved to Kasba Peth with dreams buried under daily struggles. Her husband’s earnings as an auto driver barely met the needs of their family of six. Though she had completed her Higher Secondary Certificate in Commerce, marriage paused her aspirations. But deep inside, her love for arts and crafts never faded. She wanted more—not just for herself, but for her two young sons who watched her every move.

In December 2024, she joined Lighthouse. With courage and curiosity, she stepped into the foundation course. Slowly, her self-doubt began to fade. She learned to express herself, set goals and even support her children’s studies. The turning point came when she completed the Aari work course.

On February 11, 2025, Pooja turned her skill into a business – Pooja Embroidery. Today, her craft brings in ₹8,000 each month, and she’s about to start as an Aari work instructor at Janseva Skill Center, which will add another ₹15,000 to her income.

Her sons now introduce her with pride: “Our mother makes art and teaches others too.” Pooja is finally happy—contributing to her family while doing what she loves.
