Aditya, a young boy from the bustling streets of Jotibanager, Pimpri-Chinchwad, had always aspired to a life beyond his humble circumstances. His mother’s meager earnings, coupled with the harsh realities of job hunting, had left him feeling adrift. Yet, Aditya’s determination to contribute and ensure his siblings’ education was unwavering.

Just when hope seemed to fade, Aditya discovered the Kaushalyam initiative, a collaborative effort between the Lighthouse Communities Foundation and the PCMC. Recognizing the program as a potential stepping stone, he enrolled in the 5-day job preparation batch at Pimpri Lighthouse. Aditya learned the technical skills of resume writing and communication and the importance of teamwork. The rope game, a seemingly simple activity, became a metaphor for his journey: overcoming challenges and finding strength in unity.

As Aditya secured a job at Croma-Westend Mall, he relieved his family’s financial burden. As part of the Kaushalyam program, Aditya will continue his learning journey with another 5-day Foundation Course after a month of employment. His story wasn’t just about finding a job; it was about finding himself.
