The celebration of International Women’s Day at Aurangabad Lighthouse was a remarkable event filled with great enthusiasm and zeal. The occasion was graced by the presence of Sneha Nair, the Project Officer, and Arpita Sharad, the Media Analyst from Smartcity, who were there to witness the inauguration of various initiatives in association with the Arvind Foundation. These included a Beauty Parlor, Fashion Designing, Food Processing, and Montessori classrooms. We would also like to thank Aurangabad Municipal Corporation – India.
Over 60 students from the Lighthouse attended the event and were seen radiating with joy and happiness. The celebration was a perfect blend of performances and speeches delivered by the students that inspired everyone present. The students’ songs, poems, and speeches were a reflection of their confidence and belief in the potential of women.
The other Lighthouses also celebrated Women’s Day with great fervor and passion, and it was heartening to see how women were being celebrated all around. The glimpses of the celebrations gave a glimpse of the power and strength of women and how they can accomplish great things if given the right opportunities and support.
