The Lighthouse Communities Foundation announces the launch of its second center in Ambivali-KDMC, generously supported by RBL Bank Ltd. This initiative, spearheaded by Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation, GTT Foundation, and Lighthouse Communities Foundation, stands as a testament to the power of collaboration in driving positive change. RBL Bank’s contribution has played a pivotal role in enabling this transformative endeavor.

Under the auspices of RBL Bank’s CSR initiative, the Ambivali Lighthouse serves as a hub for youth empowerment, offering a diverse array of skill development programs and courses. The spacious facility, spanning 2700 square feet, provides a nurturing environment for youth from low-income communities, aged 18-35 years, to embark on a journey of self-discovery and holistic development. RBL Bank’s support has facilitated the renovation of the space, establishment of basic infrastructure, and sustenance of day-to-day operations and skilling expenses at the Lighthouse.

The Lighthouse program, operating nationally across four states and ten cities, has positively impacted the lives of 32,000 youth in Maharashtra alone. By emphasizing ‘self-discovery,’ the program transcends traditional job-placement initiatives, empowering youth to uncover their potential, set personal goals, and chart a course towards a brighter future.

This exemplary public-private partnership model underscores RBL Bank’s commitment to fostering sustainable livelihoods and holistic development in Kalyan-Dombivali.

Addressing the gathering Hon’ble Commissioner, KDMC, Dr. Indu Rani Jakhar said, “Today marks a significant step towards empowering the youth of Kalyan Dombivali. Through this unique partnership, Lighthouse is not just providing jobs; it is enabling the youth to make informed career choices and shape their future”.

Dr. Ganesh Natarajan, Chairman of Lighthouse Communities expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries and community members present at the launch of the Ambivili Lighthouse. “The Lighthouse program, with its emphasis on ‘self-discovery,’ has been a game-changer, impacting the lives of thousands across Maharashtra. We believe in the power of partnerships, and this exemplary public-private partnership model is creating pathways for the underprivileged youth, unlocking their potential and opening doors to a brighter future”, he said.

Amongst the esteemed dignitaries and the guest of honor, Mr. Sumit Chauhan, Vice President – CSR at RBL Bank, attended the inaugural function as the representative from RBL Bank.

Dr. Uma Ganesh, Trustee, GTT Foundation said, “The Ambivili Lighthouse is not just a physical space; it’s a transformative platform for self-discovery and skill enhancement. GTT Foundation is proud to be part of this initiative that goes beyond job placement and focuses on nurturing life skills. As these young individuals discover their strengths and set their goals, they are not just finding jobs; they are building a foundation for a fulfilling and purposeful life.”
