The Lighthouse Skilling Centre in Chandanagar, Hyderabad is now officially launched! Thanks to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Lighthouse Communities Foundation (LCF), and Principal Global Services (PGS), underserved youth from the area will now have access to industry-relevant vocational skilling programs to help transform their lives and communities.

The Lighthouse Centre is a 4000-square foot space that features multiple training rooms and facilities. It’s a unique public-private partnership model with GHMC providing the location and PGS supporting the cost towards renovation, equipment, and operational expenditure. Lighthouse Communities Foundation is responsible for the implementation of the program.

At the launch event, we had some fantastic guests, including MLA Shri. Arekapudi Gandhi, Mayor Smt. Vijayalakshmi, Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Shoban Reddy, corporate officials, joint commissioner Shri Venkata Reddy, GHMC representatives, and many higher officials who inspired and motivated the audience towards successful careers.

Free short-term programs in various industries such as healthcare, e-commerce, retail, banking, finance, insurance sales, information technology, and beauty & wellness will be offered to young people between the ages of 18 and 35. This initiative aims to provide direction, skills, and employment opportunities to the youth of Hyderabad, with over 500 youth being impacted in the first year.

We are grateful to GHMC for the partnership and for providing this wonderful space for community youth and to PGS for their generous support and commitment to livelihoods for the underserved youth of Hyderabad. Lighthouse Communities Foundation is on a mission to build empowered communities through life-skills, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities for a million disadvantaged youth across India. Together, we can make a positive impact and change lives!
